Last weekend, my husband and I went out for a cider at our favorite local place. We do this every once in a while because they have a fun game space in the back and, well duh, the cider is pretty tasty. While there, I mentioned that we had a pizza reward that was getting ready to expire from a place that we used to order delivery from quite frequently. My husband, who is getting to be quite the proficient cheap-o, excitedly exclaimed that if we picked up the order it would be entirely free.
This is a seriously tiny win, but I think it's worth typing about. This week, I was able to call and downgrade our can size for our trash removal service, saving us a whopping $9.50 a month! While it will take well over a decade for this cost savings to add up to our mortgage payment, I'm still surprisingly excited about it!
Happy Friyay! Even though it was a short week with the holiday on Monday, I've honestly been a bit thrown off and in a little bit of a funk for the past few days. It happens, you know?
Speaking of funky, my hubby works a dirty job and his clothes often get pretty gross. We don't really want to wash his work shirts with our unmentionables, so I needed to get a separate laundry basket to keep everything in between washes. I was getting ready to head to Target or Home Goods to pick up a hamper when I realized that I could try to find one and fix it up for a lot cheaper!
It was like a siren calling out to me from my Amazon shopping cart. I needed it. I craved it. I couldn't stop thinking about this... vegetarian cookbook. I had borrowed a copy from the library, dog eared no fewer than 50 pages with post it notes, and had not yet made a single recipe. It was going to change my life and I needed my own right now.
